EPL Previews: Big Derby on Old Trafford

Leicester City vs Stoke City
Leicester City are up against strugglers Stoke City. Even after the appointment of Paul Lambert, Stoke have not witnessed a substantial improvement in results, although the team has been performing well when it comes to the defending element. Stoke were shipped goals left and right prior to the arrival of the former Norwich manager. More than just stopping the leaky defence, Stoke have to pick up victories. It will be difficult against a Leicester team who will be favourites at the King Power stadium. Leicester have had a difficult set of results in recent weeks but remain as favourites for this game.

Bournemouth vs Newcastle United
After the sensational win over Manchester United in the previous league match, Newcastle will have a long way to go before managing to surpass this outcome. It is easier said than done, but Bournemouth will be looking to provide Rafa Benitez with a way. Eddie Howe’s team are rather strong when it comes to games at the Vitality Stadium and this will give the club an added incentive to provide high quality games. The struggle with regard to scoring goals will be the predominant element with Newcastle coming into this match. Bournemouth are looking to bounce back from recent setbacks, but the home form is good.

Brighton vs Swansea City
This match sees two evenly matched teams coming into the game. Chris Hughton has been able to get Brighton on a great run of form while the same would also apply for Carlos Carvalhal at Swansea City. The amazing form shown by the both teams is likely to make this game as a draw. Swansea would actually appreciate points from the away match, as it would help them move away from the drop zone. The club were at the bottom not too long ago but are now making a push away from the relegation zone. Meanwhile, Brighton have stayed outside the relegation battle for much of the campaign.

Burnley vs Southampton
Burnley’s home game against Southampton could end up in a disastrous defeat since Mauricio Pellegrino’s team coming to the game with a decent run of form over the last couple of matches. Meanwhile, Burnley have been struggling to convert draws into victories. Despite taking some huge points against the likes of Manchester City, it is an undeniable fact that Burnley have found it difficult to get positive results in recent weeks. Southampton have been the opposite as they have been going through a strong run of form that has seen them reach the quarter-finals of the FA Cup and also moved closer towards safety.

West Brom vs Huddersfield Town
The recent form West Brom is a major worry for the club, and they are likely contenders for relegation, as Alan Pardew has not been able to improve results at the Hawthorns. Huddersfield Town travel to this ground hoping to get the most out of this potential six-point game. After the recent victory over Bournemouth, Huddersfield will be quietly confident about a positive result. West Brom could lose five consecutive matches if Huddersfield manage a victory in this game. The large injury list for Huddersfield could be one of the helplines for West Brom, who have a very poor defensive form over the last couple of matches.

Watford vs Everton
Everton look to end their miserable away form when they travel to the Vicarage Road for a key match against Watford. Watford have struggled a few weeks ago but the club appear to have found a reasonably good form that sees them outside the relegation battle for the time being. However, if the poor form returns, there is every possibility of Watford coming back to a relegation battle. Sam Allardyce has seen his team do exceptionally well at home but they have struggled on the road. This combination is unlikely to help Everton finishing the top 10 of the table, as several teams are making progress in this regard.
