Real Madrid vs Deportivo Alaves
Real Madrid are certainly back in the best of form and the victory over Levante once again proves to be the case. After having struggled with regard to home and away form, Real Madrid are once again scoring goals for fun. The return of form for Cristiano Ronaldo is also a significantly positive element in favour of Madrid. Even though Deportivo Alaves have been in a good run of form, they are up against an extremely strong and confident team like Madrid. The early season form at the Santiago Bernabeu was not good, but Real Madrid have performed very well in recent weeks.
Valencia vs Real Sociedad
Real Sociedad’s indifferent run could help Valencia rediscovered the strength of winning several matches on the bounce. After having gone through a terrible run of form for the last few weeks, Valencia will be hoping for another consecutive victory style after having lost the impetus to finish in the third place, Valencia will be looking to regain the same from Real Madrid. Real Sociedad will have to think about avoiding relegation, as the team has been going through a poor defence with most of the from coming as a result of this area. Real Sociedad have not been struggling for goals this season.
Sevilla vs Atletico Madrid
Atletico Madrid will be looking to celebrate their progression into the quarter-final rounds of the Europa league with a crushing victory over Sevilla, who were seen as a major contender for the fourth spot as a result of the recent run of form under Vincenzo Montella. The arrival of the Italian has been able to help Sevilla rediscover the form and the almost came close to getting a first victory over Manchester United in the Champions League. Even after the draw with the Red Devils, Sevilla’s recent form has been excellent. Home advantage would also favour Sevilla in this game.
Barcelona vs Girona
Barcelona are hoping to shake off the difficult form that we have been experiencing over the last couple of weeks. This needs to come about soon if the club are to avoid dropping close to the likes of Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid. Both clubs have been on a strong run of form and Barcelona need to maintain their advantage. Girona have been able to bring about surprise after surprise, but getting something at the Camp Nou will be able to take this to a whole new level. However, it is unlikely to happen given that Barcelona’s focus now returns back to the La Liga for the next couple of weeks before Champions League resumes again.
