La Liga Previews: Barcelona looking to keep the lead in the table

After the recent strong run of form, Eibar looking strong contenders for the Europa League qualification places. Barcelona will be looking to score more than 2.5 goals after several weeks, while the Champions League game with Chelsea will also be on the minds of the Catalan giants.

Valencia head into the game after having just recovered from the losing streak that threatened the club’s campaign as a whole. After having done extremely well in the first half, Valencia have very poor in recent weeks. However, manager Marcelino will be hoping that his players used the win over Levante as a springboard for further success. A game against Malaga represents a great way to get back-to-back wins under the belt, as Malaga are looking odds-on favourite for a relegation. The team has been pushed to the bottom of the table in recent weeks and have been unable to get a victory for several match days.

Atletico Madrid vs Athletic Bilbao
Atletico Madrid take on Athletic Bilbao looking to extend their good form at home. Both teams have experienced a successful midweek Europa League matchday, but it will be extremely difficult for Bilbao to replicate the same success against a top team like Atletico Madrid. Even without players like Diego Costa, manager Diego Simeone a should have more than enough strength to be able to get past Bilbao, who have been resilient to defeats but have been unable to pick victories on their own. As a result, Bilbao still remain in the bottom half but will be coming without some key players.

Real Betis vs Real Madrid
Real Madrid are finally showing signs of form and the team has been able to get some important victories but none more so than the victory over PSG in the Champions League. It will provide the team with a huge amount of confidence. After having struggled with consistent form throughout the campaign, Real Madrid are now in a position where they can realistically hope to overtake Valencia into the third spot. This will be a massive boost, but Real Betis of the opponents standing in the way. Real Betis have been performing well in recent weeks and will be a strong rival to Madrid.
