Atletico Madrid vs Las Palmas
After having suffered a Copa del Rey exit at the hands of Sevilla and also dropping points against Girona, Atletico Madrid are under great pressure to get a victory against Las Palmas. However, this could not be much of an issue with Las Palmas one of the poorer teams in the division. Despite getting a victory over Valencia in the recent league match, it is highly unlikely that Las Palmas will pose much of a threat to Atletico at the Wanda Metropolitano. The big problem for manager Diego Simeone will be the unavailability of Diego Costa. This time around, the striker is unavailable due to an injury.
Barcelona vs Deportivo Alaves
Barcelona take on Deportivo Alaves at the Camp Nou looking to extend their amazing run of form. After bringing in Philippe Coutinho, Barcelona have been strengthened even further. However, it remains to be seen if manager Ernesto Valverde will adopt a different tactics compared to the existing one, which has served Barcelona extremely well in the last couple of weeks. Lionel Messi has been in excellent form while he has also been joined by Luis Suarez. All eyes will be on Philippe Coutinho as he looks to get his first goal in Barcelona colours. Deportivo Alaves have been going through a very poor run of form and are not expected to get much out of this game.
Valencia vs Real Madrid
Real Madrid look to recover from a midweek surprise loss against Leganes in the Copa del Rey. They travel to the Mestalla hoping to avoid more dropped points. Real Madrid are now in danger of even missing out on the Champions League next season if this poor form continues. Valencia, meanwhile, have a great opportunity to go one step closer towards making a return to the top European competition, as they will be able to build on the points advantage over Real Madrid with a victory in this game. Even though Madrid managed a 7-1 win over Deportivo La Coruna in the recent league match, the loss against Leganes in the midweek game is likely to play on their minds.
