Rennes vs PSG
Rennes are the latest team to try and stop PSG from running away with the league title. Even though the French Ligue 1 table leaders have dropped a couple of points in the season, they have been able to enjoy a huge advantage over the rest of the teams in the division. Rennes’ good run of form came to a conclusion with a surprise loss against Strasbourg and recovering from this defeat will be extremely key for the sixth placed team. Rennes can potentially leapfrog Nantes and go into the fifth place after the end of this match.
Stuttgart vs Bayern Munich
After having achieved the winter championship, Bayern Munich’s important task will be to extend the lead over the rest of the teams. Schalke and RB Leipzig have not been consistent enough and Bayern have taken full advantage. The key area for Jupp Heynckes will be to target more goals, but it will not be easy with Stuttgart on good form at home. Stuttgart’s aim is to get away from the relegation zone and it is easier said than done with teams below them picking up points over the last few weeks. Stuttgart have had a good run of results at home so far.
Borussia Dortmund vs Hoffenheim
The managerial change certainly had its effect at Borussia Dortmund with the team finally being able to get a positive result midweek match. Yet, sustaining this will be the key. Dortmund have a tough match straight away as they will be at the Signal Iduna Park. Hoffenheim are up against Dortmund looking to capitalise on the recent misfortunes for the team, but even they have not been going through a good run in order to do so. Hoffenheim’s inconsistent run has been a factor behind teams like Frankfurt closing in. One of the certainties from this game is that it will be filled with a lot of goals.
